I am glad to be from a time where mental health is a big part of the conversation, but nonetheless going through a global pandemic and having a baby during lockdown took a stall on my mental health.
The main thing I kept on questioning myself was, ‘what type of a world am I bringing my child into?’. It has been a constant battle over good days and bad days, staying positive and worrying if things will be ok or not? Not having easy to access to a midwife or health visitor. But, one thing is for sure and that is it's not just me going through this alone as a lot of us went through this in isolation and even pre and post lockdown.
Our mind is a powerful tool and if not taken care of well, can affect us in a negative way. It is during this time I thought of MIND Charity and how we can work together to help not just only mums but everyone feeling the pressure of the pandemic. This charity resonated so much with me because it's a suffocating feeling to feel powerless.
The MIND is a Mental Health Charity that advocates and supports mental health so no one has to face it alone. This is why as a self-made small business we are proud to be supporting Mind Charity as with talks of a second national lockdown on the horizon we need our mental health campaigners now more than ever.
So as the world prepares to spend the rest of the year in pyjamas, we thought what better way to help a charity that supports people struggling to cope with loneliness and isolation that Covid-19 has caused.
We should be prepared for the fact that the start of another lockdown might be even harder for as it was at the start. Therefore, from every sale of our Christmas Collection, £1 will be donated to Mind Charity.
"because moments like these matter and we will get through it together"
